Absolutely! Many therapists work with our method. In the past, we have had participants in our training sessions who have children diagnosed with autism, ADHD, and PDD-NOS, and they all stated that they benefitted from the training. Here are the reasons they gave:
- The method provides structure by encouraging the parent to clearly state their boundaries. By giving their child a few different choices within the parents’ set boundaries, their child becomes more autonomous and feels more empowered. Giving them a few choices helps you manage what goes on, but also offers them the space to make their own decisions.
- Communication becomes clearer. Parents were able to discuss with their child how a certain action, behavior or choice that they did made them feel.
